Privacy Policy for GoDo: Your AI Agent for Browsing and Doing

Effective Date: 19 July 2025
Last Updated: 19 July 2025

1. Overview

GoDo (“Extension”) helps users automate and augment web browsing with AI. This Privacy Policy explains what data we (7IQ Labs, “we”, “us”) temporarily process, what we do not store, what third parties may receive, and the controls you have.
If you disagree with this Policy, please uninstall the Extension.

2. Data Summary (At a Glance)

Category Do We Collect? Stored by Us? Shared With Third‑Party AI Provider?*
User prompts / commands you type Process transiently No Yes (when you request a model response)
Selected text / page excerpts you choose to analyze Process transiently No Yes (only for the invoked action)
Full browsing history / all pages No No No
API keys you manually enter (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini) Stored locally only in your browser Not on our servers Sent with request directly to provider
Analytics, tracking identifiers No No No
Personal info (name, email, payment, location) No (unless you include it inside a prompt) No Possible if you include it yourself in a prompt

* “Shared” means transmitted at your explicit request to the AI/model service you configure. We do not sell data.

3. Data We Temporarily Process

3.1 Prompts & Commands

When you type a prompt or click an action, the text is held in memory only long enough to call the chosen AI API and return a response. We do not persist this on our own servers.

3.2 Page Content / DOM Excerpts

If you invoke a feature (e.g., “Summarize page”, “Extract prices”), the Extension reads only the active tab (via activeTab / injected script), extracts the necessary snippet, and (a) may send that snippet to the selected AI provider, or (b) process locally if supported. We minimize what is sent (e.g., selected text instead of the entire page where feasible).

3.3 API Keys

Any third‑party model API keys you paste are stored in Chrome extension storage (locally on your device). They are never uploaded to us. Removing or uninstalling the Extension (or clearing its data) removes them.

4. Data We Explicitly Do Not Collect or Store

If in the future we introduce optional telemetry or error logs, we will update this Policy and make them opt‑in.

5. Permissions Rationale

Chrome Permission Purpose Minimization
activeTab Access the current tab only after user interaction Not applied globally to all tabs
scripting / tabs Inject minimal scripts when you trigger a feature Only on the tab you act on
storage Save local settings & API keys Local only
(Optional) optional_host_permissions Let you grant additional site access on demand You decide per site

We avoid <all_urls> in permanent permissions unless absolutely required; if present, we intend to migrate it to optional permissions.

6. Third‑Party Services & AI Providers

When you configure or choose a model (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, a local/self‑hosted endpoint), your prompts and included snippets are transmitted over HTTPS to that provider’s endpoint under their own privacy policies and terms. Review those policies before use. We do not control their retention or secondary uses.
If you use a local/self‑hosted model, data stays within your infrastructure subject to your configuration.

7. Security Measures

Because we do not store your prompts, if you close or clear a response you cannot recover it from us.

8. Your Controls & Choices

Control How to Exercise
Revoke site access Chrome → Extensions → GoDo → Site access
Remove API key / local settings Use Extension settings or uninstall GoDo
Prevent page content from being sent Do not invoke actions that send page text
Delete everything Uninstall Extension (removes local storage)
Change AI provider Update settings to a different API/local model

9. Children’s Privacy

GoDo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information via prompts, uninstall the Extension and contact us at 7iqtech@gmail.com.

10. International Users (EU / EEA / UK)

For EU data protection law:

We do not maintain a database of personal data to fulfill typical GDPR access/erasure requests. Any content resides only locally and (if retained) with the AI provider you selected.

11. California (CPRA)

We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by CPRA. Sensitive personal information is not processed beyond user‑initiated inclusion inside prompts (transient).

12. Data Retention

External links or documentation opened from the Extension have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for third‑party practices.

14. Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be posted at this URL with an updated “Last Updated” date. If we ever begin storing or analyzing content server‑side, we will provide prominent notice before changes take effect.

15. Contact Us

For questions, clarifications, or requests regarding this Policy:

Email: 7iqtech@gmail.com
Developer / Entity: 7IQ Labs

We aim to respond within 30 days.

16. Plain‑Language Summary (Optional)

We only process what you explicitly send to an AI model. We don’t store your prompts or page content, and your API keys stay on your device. Uninstall the extension to delete everything local.
